Recently, Greatoo announced that the company has changed its name from "Greatoo Co.,Ltd" to "Greatoo Intelligent Equipment Group Co.,Ltd"(short for "Greatoo"). The abbreviation of the company’s securities has changed from "Greatoo" to "Greatoo Intelligent Equipment" 
Wu Hao, the secretary of the company’s board, said in the interview by GGRobots that the company changed its name in order to  accelerate the transformation and upgrading of intelligent manufacturing industries, further explore the equipment area of industry 4.0, develop the complete set of equipment of industrial robots, which can strengthen the company’s comprehensive competitive power and realize the company’s industrial plans in the future. 
In fact, the company has regarded the research and production of radial tire molds and hydraulic curing press as its main business for 11 years since it stepped into the capital market. Thanks for the prosperous development of tire industries a few years ago, Greatoo’s business shows an upward trend. 　
However, in these two years, because of swelling capacity in domestic market, changeable international market and the "Double-Anti" investigation USA carried out for Chinese tires, domestic tire industries suffered many problems, such as excessive capacity, increasing costs, decreasing profits and difficulties in corporate management and so on. 
It’s worth mentioning that industrial robots have become the new growth point of Greatoo’s business. Greatoo’s annual report in the first half of 2015 mentioned that Greatoo’s intelligent equipment like industrial robots made revenues of 25. 2868 million yuan, an increase of 1154.32% compared with the same period of last year, becoming the third main industry of Greatoo. 
Wu Hao said to the reporters frankly that originally, the company’s business focuses on tire industries, which was greatly limited. The company’s development of  intelligent equipment industry will break this limitation. 
"After changing its name, Greatoo will strengthen its core business and maintain the leading position in the market. At the same time, the company will create new molds of intelligent manufacturing and further explore the area of intelligent manufacturing."Wu expressed that intelligent equipment, especially industrial robots, will become another important business of Greatoo. 
As there is a greater demand for industries like tire industries to have automatic transformation and upgrading, there will be more and more opportunities for intelligent equipment industries. Foreseeing this opportunity, Greatoo has decisively stepped into the area of industrial robots. 
In 2009,  Greatoo started to develop industrial robots, unite control system, RV reducers, flexible production line and the dispatching system of intelligent workshops from the research of automatic manipulator. 
In 2013, Greatoo increased the investment to 100 million yuan in the projects like the industrialization of industrial robots and the complete set of equipment of intelligent automatic production line and set up the business division of robots. 
"Greatoo has been engaged in precision manufacturing industry for many years. With abundant technological accumulation and advanced manufacturing equipment, Greatoo has made great progress in the industrialization of national RV reducers and produced RV reducers in scale now." Wu expressed that robots with Greatoo’s RV reducers have been successfully applied in many automatic production lines. 
Now, the company has invented a series of light-weight and heavy-weight industrial robots weighting 20kg, 50kg, 100kg, 200kg, 300kg and 500kg, developing serialization products and solutions, which has endowed the company with the ability of lot manufacturing and competitive advantages in market.
In fact, Greatoo has developed robotic industry, especially the core components of robots, for automatic tire industries. But Greatoo never ceases its pace of intelligent manufacturing. 
In the third quarter of this year, Greatoo further developed its robotic industries by two steps. At the beginning of August, Greatoo increased the investment to 195 million yuan in Greatoo (Guangzhou) Intelligent Technology Research Institute Co.,Ltd (short for "Greatoo(Guangzhou) Research Institute). On August 20, . Greatoo has singed a license agreement with Israel Servotronix Automation Solutions Ltd in Guangzhou to use Soft MC source code technology of the control system of industrial robots in the development of controllers, the core component of robots.　　It’s worth mentioning that Greatoo ,which has already mastered the technology of RV reducers and controllers, the two core components of industrial robots, is not anxious to make breakthrough in the technology of system. 
Wu expressed that Greatoo will concentrate on the development of its technologically superior areas. 
In terms of the exploration of the application market of robots, Greatoo also has clear idea. 
"Now, we will target at tire manufacturing industries, precision industries and 3C industrial, because we have advantages of traditional applications, abundant customer resources and perfect customer channels."Wu said frankly.
It should be ignored that the technology of the complete set of intelligent equipment is just a part of Greatoo’s target of intelligent manufacturing. On July 2015, Greatoo joint stocks in Beijing Golaxy which runs the business of big data service. This investment showed Greatoo’s strategy of integrating intelligent manufacturing and big data. 
As a matter of fact, Greatoo’s transformation coincided with the rising of domestic intelligent manufacturing industries. As the orientation of the transformation and upgrading of Chinese manufacturing industries, Greatoo will meet greater market opportunities under the background of the plan of "Made in China 2025".
